I believe strongly that I was knit in the womb as a lesbian. They often underestimate the power of cultural 'norming. Pain, turmoil and anguish often occur, which wreaks havoc in everyone's lives. I had to tell them over the phone because they were in another country. Project Zero. I love being different and don't want to be like everyone else. After hearing more about Lisa's background, and talking to my sister, Kat, who also came out late, I felt there was a lot we "straight" people needed to learn.

I never thought twice about holding hands or being affectionate appropriately so with a man when I identified as straight. Over the course of several months, I paid the price daily. For me, the most positive outcome is the pride I feel going out as a family with my wonderful partner and my daughter and son.
